The Berry Wagon Story
Hey there, my name is Lawson and I'm the founder of The Berry Wagon. I'm not going to lie, my story might sound a little bit like a fairy tale, but I promise you, it's all true.
It all started on my 8th birthday. I asked for a wagon for my bike and my parents were like "A wagon? Really? Are you sure you don't want something cooler like a new video game or something?" But I was dead set on that wagon. I had a plan, you see.
I spent that entire summer hauling vegetables and blueberries around my neighborhood, selling them to my neighbors and making a little bit of money. It was hard work, but I loved it. I was outside all day, getting exercise and making new friends. Plus, I got to eat as many blueberries as I wanted. It was a win-win.
After the first year, I learned a lot about what my community liked and I focused more on those products. I even started growing my own garden where most of the product came from. I had a blueberry farmer that was a friend that sold me blueberries as my demand grew.
The next year, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. It was a tough blow, but I refused to let it slow me down. I was still an active and healthy kid that loved playing soccer and being outside. This new life challenge led me to focus even more on the things I loved and The Berry Wagon was born.
Now we're giving back by donating a portion of our sales each year to non-profits and programs that help others dealing with diabetes. My local community, family, and friends supported me so much that the local paper wrote an article on me and featured me on the front page.
The truth is, I never expected The Berry Wagon to become as successful as it has. I'm just a kid with a wagon and a dream. But I'm so grateful for the support and members that keep The Berry Wagon going. I mean, who knew a little wagon could take me so far?
Thanks for reading and for being a part of The Berry Wagon journey. Let's keep on rollin'!
